Dick and Carey
Instructional Systems Design
Walter Dick, Lou Carey, and James Carey introduced the Dick and Carey Model for designing effective instruction in 1978. The model details a verifiable and iterative process that accounts for the relationships between the subject matter, the learning environment, learning behaviors of the target population, and the instructional techniques that the instructor could use to support those behaviors to maximize learning.
